BIO

Jee Lam began as a classically trained dancer and now feels most at home within the contemporary world. Dancers, choreographers, and artists of great influence are Sharon Eyal, Alonzo King, and Crystal Pite. These unparalleled artists each have their own unique appreciation of detail, honesty, awareness, and utter commitment to movement which have inspired Jee to explore similar aspects within herself and her dancing.

Jee has had the pleasure of training and performing in Dresden, Germany (Palucca Schule – Hochschule für Tanz), Brasilia, Brazil (International Festival of Dance), San Francisco, USA (Alonzo King LINES Ballet Training Program), and Vancouver and Montréal, Canada (Cirque du Soleil/Les 7Doigts de la Main/Ballet Ouest/Sylvain Émard Danse/Springboard Danse/Lamondance/Vancouver Men’s Fashion Week/Bohemia Ballet). She has worked with Alonzo King, David Harvey, Doug Letheran, Victor Quijada, Gioconda Barbuto, Jakub Truszkowski, Spenser Theberge, Sidra Bell, Claude Caron, Lydia Bouchard and Sylvain Émard to name a few. Most notably, she performed with 45 Degrees, a division of Cirque du Soleil, in their production STONE that ran throughout the summer months of 2017 in Trois-Rivières at the prominent Aphithéâtre Cogeco.

Jee is currently represented by daCosta Talent and has filmed commercials for Campbell’s Soup, Olive Garden, and Nissan, and danced in the film “Centre Stage: On Pointe”.  She appears in season one of the TV Show ''Beyond'', released in 2017. Acting credits include lead roles in “Dream Chaser” and “A Wild Emptiness,” both short films.

Whether performing onstage or on camera, Jee approaches each opportunity with enthusiasm and professionalism, allowing herself to explore and develop further into the artist she aspires to be.
